Born in Montreal, Canada on Jan. 8, 1924.
Departed on Nov. 12, 2005 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Maurice George Butler, 81, of Cottonwood paased into the Lord's hands on Saturday, November 12. He was born January 8, 1924 in Montreal, Canada.

He served in the Royal Canadian Navy.

Maurice has resided in Arizona for the last eighteen years where he is survived by his survived by his beloved wife Mary Ellen Butler. He is also survived by four children, Carol DiBello, Maureen (Robert) Leahy, Sandi (Kim) Tabeling and Rick Florida; five grandchildren, Leeh DiBello, Merryt (Michael) Jackman, Cristina (David) Wallace, Rick (Sarah) Vinson, Levi Florida; two great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons.

Maurice is also forever survived by his inspiring love of animals, his love for his family and his example as a gentleman, a friend and a humanitarian.

At his request no public services are planned at this time. Private memorial services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to the Humane Society of the Verde Valley, P. O. Box 1429, Cottonwood, Arizona, 86326.
