Departed on Nov. 28, 2005 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona.

AnnaMaria Kennedy, 72, of Cottonwood died November 28. She was born April 6, 1933 in Winterthur, Switzerland.

She attended a private school for girls in Zurich, Switzerland, the College of Canton in Zurich for three years, the Davis School of Languages in London for one year, the University of Auckland in New Zealand for one year, and studied at Pantone Color Systems in New York City with Leatrice Eiseman for one year.

She was the co-author of Images in Color, published in 1985. Her previous careers included film editing in Hollywood in 1962 and she was also a medical secretary in the pathology department of the University of Zurich and also worked at the Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital and the Santa Monica Hospital.

From 1978-1982, she was a lecturer at the University of Auckland in New Zealand.

Her interests included color and costume design.

Mrs. Kennedy is survived by her husband, James G. Kennedy; a son Steven Van Valkenburg of Denver, Colo.; a daughter Susan Van Valkenburg-Kebbell of Melbourne, Australia; brothers Hans of Moah, Ut. and Peter of Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister, Maria of Zurich; and two grandchildren.
