Carol Farquharson Overly died Aug. 8, 2015 at the age of 87.

She is survived by two sons, Christopher Leroy (Suzi) and Thomas William (Andrea); sister Elizabeth (Betty); four grandchildren, Jennifer, Scott, Amanda and Benjamin; and four great grandchildren, Kelsea, Emmitt, Colby and Andrew.

Husband Arleigh Robert; sister Nancy; third son David Robert; and great granddaughter Madeline preceded Carol in death.

Carol was born in Berwyn, Illinois and attended the University of Michigan and National College of Education in Chicago where she studied early childhood education. She was instrumental in the founding of Buttons and Bows Nursery School in Elmhurst, Illinois, and retired from teaching in 1980.

Carol and Bob retired and built a home on Washington Island, Wisconsin, moved to Sun City Center, Florida, then moved again to continue retirement in Prescott, Arizona, in 2000. Her final weeks of life were spent in Grangeville, Idaho, where she passed with her family at her side.

A Memorial service will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, at Las Fuentes Assisted Living, 1039 Scott Drive, Prescott, Arizona.

Blackmer Funeral Home assisted the family.
