Charlotte Phyllis Brennan

On July 9, 2015, our mom, Charlotte Brennan, went to be with the Lord.

She spent her last hours surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born in Berwyn, Illinois on July 7, 1935 to Harold and Helen Ackerman.

Charlotte graduated from Lyons Township High School in La Grange, Illinois in 1953. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor's Degree in 1957 and received a Master's Degree from Rosary College in 1966.

She was a proud member of Yavapai College's original staff and faithfully served YC as director of the library from 1969 to 1998.

Charlotte followed her parents to Arizona in 1969 and never left. She raised her two sons in Prescott. She was an avid gardener, quilter and genealogist. She left us two days after her 80th birthday and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Helen Ackerman; sister Audry Deutscher; nephew Bruce Deutscher.

She is survived by her sons, Sean Brennan (Tina) and James Brennan (Theresa); grandchildren, Savannah, Kim, Amanda, Vonnie; great grandchildren, Jakob and Jeremiah; brother-in-law William Deutscher and niece Patti Deutscher Cusack, both from Western Springs, Illinois.

Services will be at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015 at Prescott Christian Church, 501 S. Senator Highway, Prescott, Arizona.
