Judy Wright of Cottonwood, 63, passed away on July 22 following a brave battle with cancer. Judy was born in Cornwall, New York and moved to Arizona in 1974 after marriage to Verde Valley native Wayne Wright.

Judy is survived by Wayne, daughter Missy Wright (Joey Mongini) of Phoenix, sister Beth Felix (Sergio) of Cottonwood, and brother John Stroppel of Pennsylvania.

Judy was an active member of the Emmanuel Fellowship Church in Cottonwood, and organized the church's "Picnic in The Park" program, which provided free meals to those in need. She was an award-winning quilt maker and participated in the Verde Valley Dog Agility Club, training her dog Rylee in agility and as a certified therapy dog.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Emmanuel Fellowship "Picnic in the Park" program.

Donations should be sent to Emmanuel Fellowship, 1580 East Fir Street, Cottonwood, 86326, Attn: Picnic in the Park, in Memory of Judy Wright.
