Betty Marian (Weir) McCaw-Standard

Betty Marian (Weir) McCaw-Standard was born in Rio, Illinois, on Oct. 16, 1919. She grew up on a farm in Rio. Married Forrest McCaw, in 1939, in Rock Island. Married Richard Standard, Dec. 28, 1988, in Cottonwood Arizona, where they lived from 1988 to 2006. She also lived in Washington DC, Chicago, Alpha and Galesburg, Illinois, Benson, and Mesa, Arizona. Died, July 18, 2015, in Mesa.

Predeceased by Forrest McCaw, Richard Standard, parents Helen and Ben Weir, sister Gwen French, and brother Pete Weir.

Survived by sister Phyllis Smith, Children: Bonnie Carrera (Eli), James McCaw (Diane), Granddaughters: Beth Willett (Kevin Coleman) and Paula Kindt (TJ), and nieces and nephews.

Attended business school after graduating from Oxford Township High School. Employed at Modern Woodmen in Rock Island, and Galesburg State Hospital. Special Interests: jewelry, refinishing furniture, latch-hook rugs, interior decorating.
