Bill and Jane Colton resided in Cottonwood, AZ. A Celebration of Life for both George (Bill) and Jane Colton will be held Saturday, April 15, 2006, in the Westcott Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Bill Colton George W. (Bill) Colton of Cottonwood passed away in his sleep Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, surrounded by his family. He was born in Easton, Penn. on June 5th 1925 to George William and Ruah Hollister (Fenn) Colton. Bill served with the 104th Infantry Division during WWII and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. Afterwards he received a degree in geology from Yale University. He worked 28 years for the USGS and 16 years with the Arkansas Geological Commission. He and Jane Miskimen were married on April 9th, 1952 in New Philadelphia, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son, William James. He was survived by his wife, Jane, who paased away March 27, and by his eleven children: Jim (Jan), Cottage Grove Ore.; Ted (Becky), Flagstaff, Ariz.; Doug, Cottonwood, Ariz.; Jenny Miller (Kurt), El Paso Tx.; Kathy (Rusty) Branscum, Batesville Ark.; Matt, Flagstaff, Ariz.; Charley (Carla), Imperial, Neb.; Tom (Debby), Rialto, Calif.; Karla Rollins (Jon), Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; Dwight (Heather), San Jose, Calif.; and Holly Seeders (Mike), Glendale, Ariz.; twenty-eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, two brothers, Edward (Merna) Colton and Buster (Kaye) Colton. He was a loving, loyal and strong man who will be greatly missed by his family. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Northern Arizona Hospice, 269 S.
