Born in Farmersburg, Indiana on Aug. 24, 1937.
Departed on Sept. 21, 2005 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Wayne Edward Bedwell, 68, of Cottonwood died September 21, 2005. He was born August 24, 1937 in Farmersburg, Ind.

He was a veteran of the Air Force.

Mr. Bedwell graduated from the University of Arizona, and Arizona and Indiana Police Academies. He was a retired Indiana police officer. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.

His enjoyments were hunting, fishing, gardening, the love of his grandchildren and helping others wherever he went.

Mr. Bedwell leaves a son, James Edward Bedwell of Surprise, Ariz.; daughters, Connie Johnson of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Audra Brady of Cottonwood, Ariz.; son-in-law, William Cory Brady of Cottonwood; his mother, Maxine Bedwell of Farmersburg, Ind.; a brother Jack Bedwell and a sister Sue Bedwell, both of Cottonwood; grandchildren Austin Brush, Angel Brady, Matthias Bedwell and Matthew Brush.

Private family services were held.

Donations in his memory may be made to Northern Arizona Hospice, 269 S. Candy Lane, Cottonwood.
