Evelyn W. Johnson Born in Harlan, Iowa on July 9, 1907. Departed on May 28, 2005 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Evelyn W. Johnson, 97, of Cottonwood died May 28, 2005. She was born July 9, 1907 on a farm near Jacksonville, Iowa and attended the country school #9 and high school in Harlan, Iowa. Mrs. Johnson taught school at #9 for three years. She married and farmed for many years. In 1941 she moved to Omaha, Nebraska and worked for Glen L. Martin during the World War II. In 1945 she moved to California and worked for North American Aviation and Rocketdyne. She retired in the 1960s and did a lot of traveling. She saw many changes and did lots of things. She had a long and full life. She was a great lady and will be missed. She leaves a daughter, Alice Premeaux of Page, Ariz.; a grandson Anthony, wife Leslie Premeaux of Victorville, Calif.; a brother and twin sisters in Iowa, who are all in their nineties; and many nephews and nieces.
