| The Daily Courier Prescott, Arizona September 8, 1972 Mr. Hammers Dies Thursday Volney B. Hammers, 74, of 1038 N. Cactus St. in Cottonwood, died Thursday, Sept. 7, at the Whipple Veterans Administration Hospital. Born Nov. 22, 1897 at El Paso, Ill., he had been a long-time resident of Arizona and was a retired design engineer and World War I Army veteran. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Whipple Veterans Administration Cemetery. There are no known survivors. Ruffner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. |
