Teddy Hugh Pender, 72, of Cottonwood died August 1, 2005. He was born June 11, 1933 in Bethel, Oklahoma.

He was a Navy veteran.

Mr. Pender was a retired construction worker and was a member of the Carpenters Union in Glendale.

He was a member of the National Rifle Association and Destroy Escort Sailor Association.

His hobbies included fishing and hunting, swap meets, golf and spending time with his family.

His wife Winifred Viola Pender and his parents, Mae Williams and Don Pender preceded him in death.

He is survived by brothers Jervie Dee Pender of Cottonwood, Lloyd Pender and Barter Pender; and sister Frances Brewer (Al) of Modesto, Calif.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 5 in the Westcott Funeral Home at 10 a.m.

VFW Post 7400 will provide military honors.
