Patricia "Patti" Lugo
(July 7, 1952 - November 15, 2015)

Patricia “Patti” Lugo, died in her home, surrounded by her family on November 15th 2015. She was 63 years old. Patti was born on July 7th, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois.

Patti is survived by her children, Meghan and Amanda Lugo, and her five grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Lugo and her parents Clifford and Margret Petersen.

She attended the University of Northern Arizona, graduating with a degree in Sociology. Upon graduation, she moved to Williams, AZ, where her work as a county clerk brought her into contact with Officer Daniel Lugo whom she would later marry. After having two daughters, Patti returned to NAU to complete a masters degree program in Applied Sociology. Her extensive education and her loving personality aided in her work as an Ombudsman at NAU and, later, as Human Resources at WL Gore and Assoc.

She was a hard-working individual who loved helping and serving others. She was an active and dedicated member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, where she served on the Church Council and as a Eucharistic Minister.

Patti passed away peacefully in her home after a long battle with Ovarian Cancer. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, November 21st at 1:00 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Patti’s life.
