William Thomas Carothers Born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on Sep. 26, 1927. Departed on Aug. 30, 2005 and resided in Clarkdale, Arizona. William Thomas (Bill) Carothers, 77, of Clarkdale died August 30, 2005. He was born September 26, 1927 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the US Army. He attended a one room school house in Oklahoma. Mr. Carothers retired from the City of Torrance (California) Water Department. Previously he had worked in the Climax Colorado Millenium Mine, as a ranch cowboy, in lumber at Miles, Oregon, in the oil fields of Oklahoma and as an engineer on the railroad. He enjoyed country dancing and his family. He leaves his wife Sharon Carothers; daughters, Sharlene Jackson of Simi Valley, Calif., Suzanne Morrison of Fort Collins, Colo. and Sheila Celaya of Palm Desert, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
