Ruth Jane (Bostic) Blair Neuman

Born in Detroit, Michigan on Feb. 25, 1935.
Departed on Aug. 29, 2005 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Ruth J. Neuman died on August 29, 2005 at Infinia Healthcare in Cottonwood, Arizona. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 25, 1935 to Russell and Emily (Southorn) Bostic.

Her first husband, James Blair and her beloved second husband Carlton George Neuman preceded her in death.

Ruth is survived by her three children, Carrie Blair, James Blair (Lorrie) and Rusty Blair (Margie). She is also survived by her brother, Ray (Annabel) Bostic and her sisters, Noreen (Leo) McNab and Agnes Bondy. Her thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews will also remember Ruth.

Ruth spent the early part of her life growing up in Michigan where she attended Airport High School. She was married and had three children. After marrying George Neuman, the family moved to Creswell, Oregon where they lived on a farm and raised the children. On the farm, Ruth contributed to the daily work of tending the animals, growing a garden, canning and other activities. After her children were grown, Ruth and George spent some time in Tennessee and then moved to Cottonwood, Arizona to be close to the rest of her family. Ruth lived and worked in the Verde Valley for twenty-five years. She worked as a Night Auditor at Aroyo Roble in Sedona for twenty years.

Ruth had many talents and things she enjoyed doing. She and George traveled and camped all over the United States. She was a self taught artist and craftswoman. She created many beautiful paintings of people and sights in nature. She was a skilled seamstress and made many amazing quilts for her family and friends.

Ruth will be remembered for being generous and thoughtful and taking life's ups and downs in her stride. She will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.
