| PAYNE, Clarence C. Clarence C. Payne, 87, of Coolidge died April 15, 2009 at home. Visitation began at 10 a.m. Monday at New Hope Community Church of God in Christ. The funeral followed at 11, with Pastor Richard Wright Jr. officiating. Burial was to be in Grave Creek Cemetery in Morris, Okla. Mr. Payne was born Sept. 20, 1921 in Morris. He was a farmer. Survivors include two sons, Willie and Jack Payne of Coolidge; four daughters, Denise Magee and Crickett Payne of Phoenix, Mary Cevengross-Payne of Davie, Fla., and Vivian Payne of Los Angeles; a brother, OG Payne; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Luciel. Simes Mortuaries Coolidge Chapel was in charge of arrangements. Published in the Coolidge Examiner April 21, 2009. |
