Walter Felix Raddatz

Walter Felix Raddatz, 85, died August 7th 2014 at his home in Payson, AZ. He was born August 27th, 1928 in Jersey City, New Jersey. In the early 1930's he moved to Bad Zwischenahn Germany with his sister Yvonne Raddatz (married Mohr) and his mother Annie Abrahams Raddatz.

After the war he became a baker through the apprenticeship system in Germany. Walter returned to the United States in 1949 where he worked as a baker until entering the US Army in 1950. After serving he returned to baking in Jersey City. Through his mothers childhood friend Margarete Plaisier Judicke he met and married Lisa Hanna Gerda Plaisier of Oldenburg Germany in 1956. They lived in Woodridge, New Jersey where they had 3 children. Walter Frederick, Daniel Richard and Kristine Sophia Ann Raddatz (married Dym).

The family moved to Tucson Arizona in 1971. In 1973 he bought Bachman's
Bakery which he operated until 1991. He moved with Lisa to Snowflake, Arizona from 1997 to 2001 then finally to Payson.

He is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren: Daniel Richard Raddatz II, Brianna Dym, Jacob Dym, Alexis Dym and great-grandchildren: Alannah Raddatz & Daniel Richard Raddatz III.
