Michael Tevis Cobb, 54, of Austin, Texas, died April 12, 2009 in Phoenix. A private celebration of life is planned. Mr. Cobb was born Oct. 23, 1954 in Port Arthur, Texas. He served in the Air Force for about nine years and received the Good Conduct Medal, Longevity Service Ribbon with device, Overseas Service Long Tour Ribbon and Training Ribbon. During that time he traveled and lived in several countries and states. He worked in electronics, welding and landscaping and had been self-employed. He also had taken care of his children and of his father until his death. He was devoted to his family. Survivors include his wife, Virginia (Real) Cobb; a son, Jerel D. Cobb of Austin; two daughters, Leslie M. Cobb of Dallas and Rachel J. Cobb of Austin; and his mother and stepfather, Rachel J. and David W. Jones of Casa Grande. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerel S. Cobb, and a brother. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity. Simes Mortuaries Casa Grande Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
