Beloved father, grandfather and friend.

Born October 8, 1942 to Delaina Willis and Arthur Lowenthal, in Cook County, Chicago, IL. Larry married in 1962 and had three children, Sherry, Ted and Michelle. Larry left the army in 1964 as a sergeant and pursued a career as a diesel mechanic in Eloy, AZ until 1980 when Larry shifted gears and went into the jewelry business, opening
The Gold Rush Jewelers.

Larry has dedicated most of his life to helping the people of Casa Grande. He always said, "If every person that comes into the store can leave with a smile, I have succeeded."

People who knew Larry will remember his passion for restoring old trucks, his love for his "pinschers" and his sense of community.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents and older sister, Lynn. He is survived by his children: Sherry; and twins, Ted Lowenthal and wife Becky; Michelle and husband Chuck Helmke; his step-children, Skip and Jonna; his 10 grandchildren, Jon, Tina, Justin, Little Larry, Jake, Sierra, Kevin, Tanner, Jayme and Kyle; his beloved companion Gloria; and Doris, the mother of his children. Larry leaves many good friends that filled his life with love. Special thanks to Mona Sims, Gloria Carmona, Rosa Jimenez, Esperanza Briseno and their families.

Service to be held Friday, May 1, 2009 at J. Warren Funeral Services: The Gardens, 525 N. Peart Rd., Casa Grande, AZ 85222.
