Tony Lyle Voorhees

Tony Lyle Voorhees of Kingman passed away Monday, April 13, 2009. Tony was born Jan. 23, 1965, in Henderson, Nevada, to Edward and Joanne Voorhees.

Tony lived in the beautiful Hualapai Mountains and worked at the Hualapai Mountain Resort for more than 15 years.

Tony was loved by many people. He would do anything for anyone. Tony had the biggest heart ever. You could say, "he wore his heart on his sleeve."

Wherever Tony was, people were always laughing and having a great time. He knew how to make everyone smile.

Tony will be missed by a lot of people, including his family, friends and his second family at the Hualapai Mountain Resort and all the folks on the Hualapai Mountain.

Tony loved his nieces and nephews very much. He would spend his free time with them as much as possible.

Tony was preceded in death by his father, Edward Voorhees.

He is survived by his mother, Joanne Voorhees of Henderson; one brother, Chris (Sue) Voorhees of Portland, Texas; five sisters, Debbie (Randall) Fortenbury of Henderson, Pam (Robbie) Disipio of Las Vegas, Teri (Frank) Voorhees of Kingman, Vicky (Jeff) Shaw of Kingman and Angie (Jim) Tucker of Pine Bluffs, Wyo.

Tony is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends.

The family will be having a celebration of Tony's life at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, at the Pine Lake Fire Department No. 2 in the Hualapai Mountains, located close to the Hualapai Mountain Resort.

We encourage all of his friends to please attend. Come and share his life stories with the family.
