Sedree (Allen) Gallimore

Posted 2009-04-30 by Kingman Daily Miner
GALLIMORE, Sedree

Sedree Gallimore went home to our Lord and Savior on Friday, Feb. 13, 2009. She was 71 years old when she passed away at Kingman Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Croydon, England, on Feb. 8, 1938, and raised by her two loving parents, Frederick William Allen and Lillian Caroline Allen.

Mrs. Gallimore traveled to all parts of the world. As an only child, she never experienced growing up with siblings, except her friends back in England. Her parents weren't wealthy, but they worked hard to keep a good living, which enabled her to do things many other children couldn't afford. Sedree had the luxury of socializing with the different faces she met on her travels without worrying about settling down. She met her first husband in France, where they were married. They moved to Canada where she gave birth to her first son, Charles, in 1966.

Unfortunately, in 1970 her first marriage ended. She moved back to England for a few years, then in 1976 she decided to move back to Canada where she found our father, Glenn Gallimore Sr., and gave birth to Glenora in 1997. They decided to get married a year later, then moved to the United States and in three short years, in 1980, her son Glenn was born.

She lived here in Kingman since 1986 with her husband and two children, Glenn and Glenora Gallimore-Drum. She raised her kids with strong moral values. Regardless of other people's religious opinions, she taught us the value of hard work and the word of God. It was a family tradition passed down from both sides of the family.

Our mother has worked all her life. She was a hairdresser for 25 years and a CNA/caregiver for over 30 years. When widowed, Sedree and her children continued to support each other and endured the obstacles reality had in store.

Mrs. Gallimore leaves behind her two children, Glenn Gallimore and Glenora Gallimore-Drum, and a son-in-law, Larry Drum.

Donations are accepted and funeral arrangements are being made. For more information, contact Glenn at 377-8263 and Glenora at 530-3020.
