BISHOP, Harmon

Harmon Bishop was a resident of Kingman for 32 years. A native of Martha, Okla., he died at his home on Sunday, April 19, 2009, after enduring declining health for some period of time. He was 75.

Harmon moved to Kingman from California with his family in 1977 as a road driver for Roadway Express until retirement. He continued to work as a road driver even after his retirement. He was considered "a very valuable asset" in the line-haul arena, driving millions of accident-free miles.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, but leaves behind four daughters, Julie Valsonis, Debra Jones, Linda Taylor and Billie Jo Worth; sons-in-law; sisters; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many good friends, all of whom he cared about very much. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all.

There will be a private memorial service of family and friends.
