Sheri Kaye Barnes
May 25, 1940 - February 28, 2016

Sheri K. Barnes, age 75, passed away February 28, 2016 at her home in Wickenburg with her family by her side. Sheri was born May 25, 1940 in Omaha, Nebraska to Paul A. Jordan and Mardel Parsons-Jordan. She was raised there and attended schools there. She married John Lacey while he was serving in the Air Force and they had two children, Denise and Michael.

Sheri had lived in various locations and while living in California she met and married Harvey Kemper and they had a son Jeff. Sheri came to Arizona in 1968 eventually settling in Wickenburg in 1975. She owned and operated several businesses through the years. Pierce Home Furnishings, Sheri's Boutique and later Slender You. After selling her businesses she began working at Woody's Enterprises and had also been a bookkeeper for J.E.B. Construction. Sheri was also a member of the American Legion, Elks Lodge, and Soroptimist.

She was preceded in death by her mother Mardel Sexton, father Paul Jordan, brothers Terry Sexton, Paul Jordan and Ronald Jordan.

She is survived by daughter Denise Lacey of Wickenburg, Michael (Kimberley) Lacey of Tonopah, Jeff (Stephanie) Barnes of Wickenburg. Grandchildren Michael Jr. (Danielle) Lacey, Megan Lacey, Zachary (Erica) Barnes, Courtney (Noah) Geier, Tanner (Morgan) Barnes, 5 great-grandchildren, and brother Ted Jordan of Surprise.

There will be a visitation Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 3:00-6:00 PM at the Wickenburg Funeral Home.
