| Wickenburg Funeral Home & Crematory, Wickenburg, Arizona Beverly D. Ellis March 23, 1951 - March 13, 2016 Beverly D. Ellis; wife, mother, sister, and friend passed away surrounded by her family March 13, 2016 from a sudden unexpected illness at Phoenix Abrazo Hospital. Beverly brought laughter, joy and unyielding support to those fortunate enough to know her well, and often those who were not. She loved life, humanity, animals and always viewed everyone with love and acceptance. Beverly was born on March 23, 1951 in Abilene Texas. She was the 2nd child to Milton and Billie Stegall-Rucker of Abilene. She had 5 siblings, Carol Woolf, Robin Rucker, David Rucker, Nancy Mims and Chris Rucker. She graduated from Crane High School and went on to be a Registered Nurse after graduating from San Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX. She practiced nursing in San Angelo and Abilene. In 1985 Beverly moved to Pocatello, Idaho and fell in love with outdoor life. She worked at South East Idaho Gastroenterology in Pocatello as a RN and eventually nurse manager before recently retiring. Prior to nursing, she was a telephone installer in Texas and could climb telephone poles with expertise. In 1997 Beverly married the love of her life, George Ellis of Pocatello. Together they wove a life full of dancing, horse back riding, supporting Idaho State University and Poky High athletics and traveling. Every winter they escaped the harsh Idaho winter for Wickenburg, Arizona where they swapped snow for saguaros. She made many friends in Wickenburg that she considered family. Beverly is preceded in death by her beloved son Michael Wagner, Brother David Rucker, and parents. Beverly will be dearly missed by her husband George Ellis, daughter Christina Barker and Son in law Stacey Barker along with countless extended family and friends she supported through difficult times in their life and cherished as family, also, her dog Molly and grand-dogs Koda and Obi. Details for a future life celebration in the spring are to be announced and can be found on this website when arrangements are made. The family would like to thank their friends and family for the outpouring of love and support they have received through this difficult time. |
