GOINGS, Harold Thomas

Harold Thomas Goings, 73, died April 18, 2009, in Show Low. He was born Feb. 29, 1936, in Seymour, Ind., to Wilbur Goings and Elizabeth Stapely.

Harold retired as senior project test driver from the GM Desert Proving Grounds in Mesa. He loved fishing, hunting, traveling, motorcycles and ATVs. He was a diehard NASCAR fan; Kyle Bush was his driver.

Harold loved playing bingo at the VFW and American Legion. He loved being with his family; most of all, he loved his wife, Millie.

He is survived by his wife, Millie J. Goings; sons and stepsons Michael Harold Goings of Cottage Grove, Ore., Harold Theodore Goings of Buckeye and Kevin Jay (Stacey) Kaldahl of Apache Junction; daughters and stepdaughters Patricia Ann (Greg) Nichols of Mesa, Debrah Rae (Ron) Lewis of Provo, Utah, Kimberly Jo (Rick) Anderson of Ellensburg, Wash., and Kelly Russell of Phoenix; 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Seth W. Goings-Croskey.

Memorial services were held Wednesday, April 22, at Burnham Mortuary, 535 N. Main St., in Eagar.

Donations are suggested to the Kidney Foundation and Cancer Research Center of America.
