Tuesday, April 26, 2016

On April 23, 2016, the Lord received our father Robert Dennis Wager Sr. "Denny" as most knew him, was born in Jerome to Clint Wager Sr. and Evelyn Wager, who preceded him in death.

Denny had three other siblings, Max Wager, Clint Wager Jr. and Janie Wager (Kilby).

Denny went to Tolleson High and enjoyed track, football and golf.

He settled in Camp Verde and later in Cottonwood where he met his wife of 44 years, Janice Wager. Denny worked at the Phoenix Cement Plant for over 29 years, with Cottonwood Elementary School for 15 years and in Security for 15 years.

Denny was a hard working, gentle, kind, selfless, loving and HAPPY man. There to help and greet you with a huge smile. He never held a grudge and was willing to help his fellow man anytime asked.

Denny had three children; Patricia Winters, Cyndi Federer and Robert D. Wagner Jr. He was blessed with six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Denny was not rich, nor did he have a fancy title, but he was blessed. He was more successful than any man, because he treated his fellow man as Christ his Lord asked. If you knew Denny you were truly blessed.

Services for Denny will be on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 starting at 9:30 a.m.at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church located at 700 N. Bill Gray Road in Cottonwood.

The burial will follow services at the All Souls Cemetery adjacent to the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Denny's name to the St. Vincent De Paul.
