Richard Allen Antoine, Sr.
April 25, 2016

Richard Allen Antoine Sr., 79, formerly of California, passed away April 25, 2016, at his home in Show Low, Arizona.

Richard was preceded in death by his mother and father, Don and Eloise, and by his son Ron.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judy; son Rick (Linda); daughter, Linda (Don) George; daughter-in-law, Claudia; 6 grandkids, Erin, Scott, Brad, Kate, Megan, and Ryan; 7 great-grandkids, Emma, Abigail, Drew, Paige, Tatum, Eloise, and Russell; and brothers, Don, Bob and Dean.

Richard was a hardworking man that provided well for his family as an Industrial Plumbing and Piping Estimator. He had an amazing green thumb and loved to grow a big garden each year. He was a volunteer for many years in the Pop Warner Football organization as an equipment manager and basketball coach. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, and shooting with his buddies at the pit. He was also a pretty lucky guy and enjoyed stopping by a casino now and then.

He was a tough guy, and even when he was diagnosed in his late 20’s with Multiple Sclerosis, he never complained and he never let it stop him from doing anything. It was not until the last year and a half of his life that this awful disease became very progressive. He was a fighter until the very end. The Iron Man was a lovable character that will be missed terribly, until we meet again.

A special thank you to Hospice Compassus and Accent Care for their loving care and support, and to all the wonderful neighbors who were always there to lend a helping hand.

A time of gathering and remembering with friends and family will be held at a later date.

“To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy---To the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen” (Jude 24-25)

Owens Livingston Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
