Jolene Cheney
August 21, 1951 - May 1, 2016

In loving memory of our Mother, Grandmother, and Friend, Jolene Ethelbah Cheney. Jolene was born in Whiteriver, Arizona on August 21, 1951 and went home to be with Our Lord and Savior on May 1, 2016.

Jolene was a woman of many crafts and talents; her plastic canvas designs were innovative, creative, and beautiful - echoing the personality she showed in every aspect of her life. The yarn dolls she made were as cuddly, warm, and soft as the hugs she gladly gave out. She enjoyed the outdoors and instilled that love and appreciation in her family - all of whom she enjoyed being with at local lakes or on long, aimless drives.

She had a Green Thumb and was known for her beautiful garden where she was often seen wandering, working, or watering. She loved animals, and raised chickens, roosters, ducks, geese, parakeets, and peacocks. She was also known for sitting in her front garden entrance with family and friends who she encouraged and prayed with.

She had a knack for being thankful for and making use of everything - like her son's old boots to toilets that later grew flowers from the tank and bowl. She had a love of food as well, and her home cooked meals were the hit of every family gathering. Jolene was a friend to everyone she met, and treated everyone with respect and love. She loved her family, and was always with her honey Gibson.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, their 12 children (Gilson, Gibson Jr., Gideon, Gilbert, Gallason, Kathleen, Joylene, Keursha, and Tasheena); grandchildren and great- grandchildren; her 4 siblings, and many relatives and friends.

There will be a one night wake held in her honor 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Kasey Residence in Baha Springs, Arizona.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the North Fork Miracle Church in Whiteriver, Arizona.

She will be laid to rest by her father at the Crocker Family Plot in Whiteriver, Arizona.

The family expresses sincere gratitude for the prayers and acts of kindness in our time of sorrow, May God Bless you all.
