James Carl McNerney
June 13, 1952 - April 22, 2016

James Carl McNerney, of Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on April 22, 2016 at his home in Show Low. He was 63. James was born to his parents the late, James Joseph and Dorothy (Kaltenbach) McNerney on June 13, 1952 in Tucson, Pima County, Arizona.

He was a United States Navy Veteran having served from 1971-1974 before being discharged as a SSGT. James attended Saints Catholic School in San Diego, California. He was an active member of the St. Mary of The Angels Catholic Church in Pinetop, Arizona serving as the Financial Secretary for the Knights of Columbus. James loved to volunteer for the church helping out in any way possible. He was a truly generous person who loved life and was loved by many.

He enjoyed everything outdoors including camping, fishing and especially skiing. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend he will be missed by many.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol McNerney; daughters, Katie (B.J.) Ho and Amy (Kurt) von Seggern; 5 grandchildren; sisters, Mary (Chuck) Otterman and Cathy (Art) Miller as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Stephen Naill.

A memorial mass will be held 11:00 A.M. June 4, 2016 at the St. Mary of The Angels Catholic Church, 1915 Penrod Lane, Pinetop.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the White Mountain Hospice Foundation, PO Box 1975, Lakeside, Arizona 85929 or the St. Mary of The Angel Catholic Church, PO Box 819, Pinetop, Arizona 85935 in James’ name.
