| Winterset Madisonian, Winterset, Iowa Wednesday, May 25, 2016 William Eugene Gilgour, Phoenix, Arizona William Eugene Gilgour (Bill) of Phoenix, Ariz., passed away April 29, 2016. Bill was born Jan. 7, 1956, in St. Joseph, Mo., son of Eloise and the late Robert Gilgour. Bill is survived by his husband, Stephen Nehring; his mother; brothers, Richard Gilgour and his wife, Cheryl; Mike Gilgour; and Steve Gilgour and his wife, Donna; and beloved nieces and nephews. Bill graduated from Methodist Medical Center in 1976 as a Registered Nurse. He worked in the emergency room of local hospitals, followed by surgery centers. In 2011, he and his husband Stephen relocated to Phoenix, Ariz., and began working for Maricopa Integrated Health System. Bill was an avid gardener and loved photography, traveling and renovating homes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue or Desert Botanical Gardens of Phoenix in memory of William Gilgour. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Robidoux Row Museum on Friday, June 3, 2016, at 6 p.m. located at Third and Poulin Streets in St. Joseph, Mo. |
