Willie A. Simpson Born in Hodges, Texas on May 14, 1909. Departed on Sept. 9, 2005 and resided in Clarkdale, Arizona. Willie A. Simpson, 96, of Clarkdale died September 9, 2005. He was born May 14, 1909 in Hodges, Texas. Mr. Simpson was a retired operating engineer and previoulsy had worked as a cowboy, mechanic and as a carpenter. He was a Baptist and a member of the Pinnochle Club. His enjoyments were playing cards, RVing, Camping, fishing, playing with his great-grandchildren and resting in his lazyboy. He is survived by his wife, Faye Hahn; a daughter Freda Steele of Cottonwood; a sister, Alma Caperton of Normangee, Texas; three grandchildren, Paul Simpson, Laura Simpson and Keith Steele; three great-grandchildren, Katrina Steele, Kristie Steele, and Keenan Steele. He was preceded in death by his wife Olive Marie (Dean) Simpson and a son, Billy Simpson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 24 in the Westcott Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Donations in his memory may be made to the National Heart Association.
