| John T. Chandler Born in Pladd, Missouri on Nov. 23, 1908. Departed on July 9, 2003 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. John Theodore Chandler born November 23, 1908 in Pladd, Missouri, died July 9, 2003. At the age of 2 months, his family moved to Colorado where he resided most of his life. He moved with his wife Thelma to Prescott, Arizona in 1983, where they lived for nine years, and then moved to Sedona, Arizona in 1992. John taught school in Colorado prior to working for the Immigration and Naturalization Service from which he retired after 30 years. His wife, Thelma Young Chandler passed away shortly after their 67th wedding anniversary in 2000. He is survived by his son, John Richard Chandler of Amarillo, Tx. and his daughter Janette Chandler Dacis of Cottonwood, Ariz., 5 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Interment of ashes will July 26 in Colorado. Donations in his memory may be made to Amarillo Life Challenge, 6300 Hope Rd., Amarillo, Texas, 79119.
