Carl R. Pauley, age 70, of Rainbow Valley, Arizona, passed away at home on March 10, 2007. He was born on April 24, 1936, in Bim, West Virginia, to Emory Edwin and Myrtle May (Payne) Pauley. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ray Pauley.

Carl moved to Prescott in 1943. He played football for Prescott High School before graduating in 1955. Carl loved hunting, fishing and watching the ponies run. He retired from the engineering department of ADOT after more than 30 years of service.

Carl will be remembered as our favorite uncle, a very generous person with a soft, gentle heart.

Carl is survived by his brothers, Ed Pauley, Charles (Nancy) Pauley; sister, Beulah (Bob) Poley; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Hampton Funeral Home, 204 S. Cortez Street, Prescott, Arizona.

Arrangements were entrusted to Hampton Funeral Home.
