Our heavenly Father called Margaret Veronica Liffick to his side on June 20, 2016. Called Maggie by those who knew and loved her, she succumbed to illness in Chino Valley, Arizona. Born in 1937 in Brooklyn, New York of Mary Cowen and George Butcher, she moved to Michigan at a young age.

She met and married her high school sweetheart, H. Terry Liffick in 1956.

She is survived by her husband; and two children, Mrs. Nina Marie Paolo of Morgan Hill, California and Mr. H. Terry Liffick Jr. of Loxahatchee, Florida. She was blessed with five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Maggie was a long-term Bingo advocate and regular Casino player. She also was famous as “Maggie the Knitter from Chino Valley” for the hundreds of blankets and shawls that she made and donated to Hospice Care, Senior Centers, Pediatric and Geriatric floors in hospitals of Yavapai County and Las Vegas. Several hundred items of her Teddy Bear collection were given to Chino Valley first responders for their KidCare programs.
