He graduated from Pima High School and Eastern Arizona College. He was a farmer in the Safford area for twenty years and then had his own dental lab, Greenlab, for the next twenty years. Although retired for 23 years, he was still very active, caring for 250 pecan trees around his home and traveling extensively with his wife. He loved to spend time with his family.

He was active in the LDS church, held various church positions throughout his lifetime, faithfully fulfilled three missions, and was currently serving in the Branch Presidency at the Safford Care Center.

He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, with two more on the way. He has one surviving sister, Louise Lytle of Centerville, Utah.

Max was preceded in death by one son, Mark John Green, and two grandsons, Brian & Braydon Green. Max was a dearly loved and admired patriarch of his family and will be greatly missed by those he leaves behind.
