Amada Leon Bustamante
September 13, 1930 - May 29, 2016

Our beloved Amada L. Bustamante, 85, of Thatcher, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 29, 2016 with her family at her side.

She was born on September 13, 1930 in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico, to Santiago and Francisca Leon. She married Manuel Bustamante Gallardo on October 14, 1949 in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico and started a wonderful journey of family with him that spanned 66 years together.

Amada loved to spend time with her family. She leaves behind 8 children, 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and one on the way. She was an example of love and strength to her family and friends. She is loved and will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her husband, Manuel Bustamante of Thatcher, AZ, Daughters, Elvira Gonzales (Joe) of Thatcher, Delia Aros (Guillermo) of Hermosillo, MX, Maria Elena Garber (Randy) of Mesa, AZ, Sylvia Sanchez (Alejandro) of Mesa, AZ, Evangelina Garcia (Joe) of Phoenix, AZ, and Luz Maria Ternosky (James) of Scottsdale, AZ; Sons, Francisco Bustamante (Evangelina) of Nogales, AZ, and Jesus Manuel Bustamante (Rosita) of Nogales, AZ; Brothers, Carmelo Leon (Socorro) of Cananea, MX and Gabriel Leon (Francisca) of Tucson, AZ.

Viewing will be from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the old Central LDS Church 2597 Church Ave. Central, AZ 85531.

Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at the Thatcher Cemetery.

Mothers hold their child’s hand for a moment and their heart for a lifetime. We love you Mami Amada, thank you for loving us forever.
