| Owens Livingston Mortuary, Show Low, Arizona Dorothy G. Seaward September 22, 1932 - June 24, 2016 Dorothy G. Seaward died Friday evening, June 24, 2016, at her home in Show Low, Arizona from complications of a fall. She was 83 years old. Dorothy was born on a Thursday, September 22, 1932 in Staten Island, New York. Her parents are the late William and Ann (Forbes) Goodfellow. At an early age, Dorothy knew the importance and value of having a good education. She had received her Master's Degree in Physical Education with a Minor in Music from CSU in Long Beach, California. With her degree, Dorothy worked as a physical education instructor at the high school level for many years, working in La Mirada, California for the Los Angeles School District. On Friday, June 18, 1954, Dorothy married the apple of her eye, Robert Calvin Seaward. At the time of his death, October 23, 2014, the couple had most recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary together. Theirs was a marriage full of love, respect and happiness. Throughout their long lives together, Dorothy and Robert loved taking their family and friends camping. They usually pulled the boat with them whenever they did and enjoyed boating and skiing. Dorothy was very familiar with courts as well, as she was expert in the sports of badminton and tennis. She also enjoyed playing the piano and was quite the accomplished pianist and enjoyed playing for anyone who would listen. Too, Dorothy enjoyed working with her hands and has made many, many handicrafts throughout the years. Dorothy is survived by her 3 daughters: Nadine (Edward) Bazan of Show Low, Arizona, Anita Legg of Dallas, Texas, Sandra Palmer of Riverside, California; 4 grandchildren: April (Anthony) Perkins of Phoenix, Arizona, Erik (Jackie) Stevens of Phoenix, Arizona, Benjamin (April) Palmer of Riverside, California, Candace (Randy) Louis of Phoenix, Arizona and is also survived by her 4 great-grandchildren: Luke, Ryder, Noah and Charlotte. Dorothy's family is thankful for all of the expressions of sympathy they have received during this difficult season and are especially grateful for all of the prayers offered up on her behalf.
