Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, April 29, 2009 David E. Park passed away unexpectedly approximately April 14, 2009. A resident of Elko, Nev., Dave had lived here for over 20 years. Dave was born in New Orleans, La., Jan. 18, 1944. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene I. Park, and his mother, Thelma (Groff) Park. He was a Vietnam-era veteran and worked professionally as an exploration geologist in Alaska and Nevada for 39 years. Mr. Park is survived by his brothers, James Park (Pam) of Prescott Valley, Ariz., and Douglas Park (Jan) of Porter, Texas; nephews Trevor Park of Gainesville, Fla., and Neal Park of Phoenix, Ariz.; and nieces Allison Park of Falls Church, Va., and Kimberly Stelly (Damon) of Lafayette, La. Cremation will be at Sunset Crematory under the direction of the Burns Funeral Home. Memorial services will be performed at a later date. Dave was a regular visitor to Prescott Valley, particularly at the year-end holiday times. We will miss him. Information provided by survivors. |
