| Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, April 29, 2009 Jean Arvin, 86, passed away April 27, 2009, in Prescott, Ariz. She was born March 24, 1923, in Fremont, Neb., to Alfred and Jennie Carstens. After graduating from Fremont High School, she attended Washburn University and graduated magna cum laude. Being a career woman, she worked as an insurance administrator and analyst. Jean loved to read and travel extensively. She is survived by her children, Joy Sayers and Sharon Harding; her sister Ellen Fitzgerald; and brother David Carstens. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2009, at the First Congregational Church, 216 E. Gurley St., Prescott. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prescott Samaritan Village.
