Paula (Bergstedt) Lieske

Paula Lieske passed away Nov. 12, 2008, in Morro Bay, Calif. Paula was for many years a citizen of Prescott Valley and is survived by friends and family in the area.

Paula is also survived by her mother Dorothy Bergstedt; her son Noah Lieske, his wife Allison, and her two grandchildren, Sebastian and Jule Lieske; and her beloved partner and friend Larry Frank and his loving extended family.

Paula was a potter by trade, earning her arts degree in San Miguel De Allende, Mexico, in the early 1970s. Paula also enjoyed working with textiles and photography. One of Paula's greatest passions was travel. Paula's travels spanned Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, Central and South America, the Pacific Islands and Australia, where she had her son Noah along her journey. Paula also was a teacher in California for language programs. Paula enjoyed nature and cherished her time spent walking trails, camping and exploring. Paula's gentle heart and kindness are missed by her family and friends, as are her birthday cookies.

A memorial service in Prescott will be noon Saturday May 9, 2009, hosted by close friends and family. The gathering will be at Heritage Park, Willow Lake Garden Ramada, Heritage Park Road. Any gifts in kind should be made to the American Cancer Society or The Audubon Society, sending peace and love to Paula.
