| FRANCO, George Derrick “Mike” George Derrick “Mike” Franco, 78, of Solomon passed away at his home April 21, 2009. Mr. Franco was born July 30, 1930, in Solomon to Manuel Franco and Rose Derrick Franco. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Franco was an assistant marshal in California before returning to Arizona several years ago. He is survived by his wife, Kim Johnston Franco, and children, Kathleen Franco, Michael Franco, Dianna Rendon, Sandra Torris and Anthony Franco. Mr. Franco was preceded in death by his parents; son, Manny Franco; and sister, Mary Franco. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, April 27, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Solomon. Arrangements were under the direction of the Caldwell Funeral Chapel. Published on Sunday, May 3, 2009 Eastern Arizona Courier. |
