Margaret Lee Doubleday
September 24, 1941 - September 15, 2016

Margaret “Margie” Doubleday was born in Long Beach, CA on September 24, 1941. She entered Heaven’s gates via Show Low, AZ on September 15, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Born the only daughter of Maurice and Ruth (Lewis) Guest, she grew up in Long Beach, CA graduating from Jordan High School before moving on to Beauty school.

After raising her two children, William and Robin, in beautiful Huntington Beach, CA, she moved to Las Vegas, NV where she met Robert Doubleday who was drawn to her infectious smile and beautiful red hair. They were married May 15, 2000 and shortly after they moved to Lake Havasu, AZ. She and her husband Bob were members of many social clubs in Lake Havasu.

Margie was well loved by all that knew her. Her love of life radiated like the sun’s warm rays. Some of her favorite things to do were traveling, golfing, and spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending summers in Show Low, AZ, escaping the heat of Lake Havasu.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Maurice (’56) & Ruth (’86). Margie is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Bob; son, William (Angela) Kendig; daughter, Robin Dudley; many grandchildren & a new great grandchild; Sister-in-law, Judi (Doubleday) Logan & her husband Jim.

A private family viewing was held on September 16, 2016. A celebration of life will be held in Lake Havasu at a later date. Condolences and memories may be shared on Margie’s page at www.owenslivingstonmortuary.com.
