Gale Lynn Garringer died unexpectedly at the young age of 62 on Friday March 25, 2016 in Silver Springs, FL. He was born on June 22, 1953 in Liberal, KS. He was later adopted by Doc & Punky Legan who saved him from himself and formed him into the wonderful man that he became.

Gale served in the US Marine Corp. He married Deborah West in 1990 in Black Canyon City, AZ & raised her children as his own. He moved back to Colorado in 1991 with the love of his life, Deborah & settled in Livermore, CO in 1994 where together they built there (sic: their) dream home complete with an indoor arena for all of the horses he loved to raise, train & ride. "Been there done that" is what he said about the horses as he followed his next passion of scuba diving, taking many trips to Mexico over the years. He was a hard worker & ran his own business, Always Excavating for almost 20 years.

Gale was blessed to be able to live out his final dream of getting out of the Colorado snow & became a "snow bird." He spent his final days boating, pig hunting, 4 wheeling & working on his house with his wife, all the things he loved. Gale will be missed terribly by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Deborah (Livermore, CO) his children Darrell West (Eaton, CO), Jodi (Paul) Bashor (Longmont, CO), Larry (Joy) Garringer (Texas) Jennifer Garringer (MI). His grandchildren Rachel, Samantha, Colton, Wyatt, Cora, Kaitlyn, Liam & Gracie. His parents Doc & Punky Legan (OK) & his sister Rozella Salters (MI).

There will be a celebration of life for family and friends at Livermore Community Hall in Livermore, CO on April 22, 2016 at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers consider donations to Deborah Garringer to help her in this extremely difficult time.
