ROTH, Andrea Kay Hartranft

Andrea Kay Hartranft Roth, born August 3, 1943, in Lusk, Wyo., to Andy and Ida Martin, passed away April 1, 2009, in Casper, Wyo., at the age of 65.

She is survived by four sisters: Peggy, Linda, Joyce and Ramona; and three brothers: Stanley, Terry and Tony; a daughter, Renauna (John); three grandchildren: Michael, Daniel and Caroline; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two stepchildren, Randy and David Roth, and their families.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, George; a daughter, Melodi; and two beloved husbands: Raymond J. Hartranft and Gerald E. Roth.

She was lucky to have found love twice in her life. Andi, as most people knew her by, was a longtime resident of the Gila Valley for more than 30 years. During those many years, she lived in Safford, in Thatcher, and then, finally, in Pima, making many lifelong friends along the way. Andi was passionate about many things and would amaze family and friends with her surprising talents, especially her love of painting enchanting nature scenes, her incredible ability to crochet exquisite gowns and hats for dolls of all sizes, and her designer’s flare for decorating her home and yard.

After her second husband, Jerry, passed away, Andi moved to Swansea, S.C., to be near her youngest daughter, Melodi, and her family. And there, too, she made many good friends and found a renewed faith in God because of a wonderful church that welcomed her with warmth and kindness.

When Melodi suddenly passed away, Andi moved to Casper to be close to her brothers and sisters and live out the rest of her life. Andrea was cremated April 3, 2009, and her ashes were sent back to Arizona, where she had spent most of her life. On April 14, her ashes were divided and placed at each of the gravesites of her two husbands, Ray and Jerry. A small keepsake urn will also be placed with her daughter, Melodi, in South Carolina.

Andi, my mom, will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

I love you Mom, your loving daughter, Renauna
