| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, September 25, 2016, page 8a /12a Dorothy Mae Brunk, 89, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away Sept. 18, 2016, at home with her loved ones. She was born to Lorenzo and Augusta Peterson (McKinley) in 1927 in St. Helena, California. Dorothy was resourceful, inventive, and stalwart. After an early modeling career in Hollywood, she earned a degree in accounting, working as a cost accountant for Motorola. She took early retirement, spending her time gardening and quilting in Skull Valley, Arizona, before settling in Mesa. She was preceded in death by Dale A. Brunk Sr. They celebrated a marriage of 68 years. She is survived by sons Dale Jr. (Tricia) and Dave (Adora), both of Mesa, Arizona, and daughter Deborah Konizer (George) of Prescott, Arizona, and by her brother Milton Peterson (Carol) and sister Helen Davis. She has five grandchildren, 13 great grand children and 3 great great grandchildren. The family will be holding private services. Information provided by survivors. |
