Steven D. Howell, 70, of Rimrock, went to be with his Lord Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Steve was a native of Orange, Calif., and as a young man worked with Evil Knievel.

Steve found the Lord at 32 and shortly after, met and married his wife of 33 years, Cyndi.

Steve and Cyndi moved to Arizona in 1981 and made Rimrock their home.

Steve founded the Olive Branch, a home for adults with special needs in 1992. He had a deep passion for providing a safe, loving home for his special friends. Steve had also been an elder at Montezuma Chapel where he had served since 1984.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Cyndi Howell; two sons, Steve Jr. Howell of Flagstaff and Ray of Rimrock; a daughter, Sherry Guthery of Flagstaff; daughters-in-law Lisa and Denise; and son-in-law Rek; one sister, Katie MacMahon, of Orange, Calif.; six grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life was held Saturday, May 2 at the Olive Branch.

A memorial fund to honor Steve's life has been set at the Olive Branch, 4430 E. Aztec Road Rimrock, Az.
