Gloria Hope (Dorame) Ruiz

Holy Rosary for Gloria Hope Ruiz, 43, will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 150 Fleury Ave., Prescott, Arizona, with Memorial Mass to be Celebrated at 10 a.m. Father Dan Vollmer, Celebrant.

Gloria was born in Nogales, Arizona, on June 26, 1973.

Gloria lived at the Chevelon Ranger Station until Junior High and then moved to Winslow and attended Winslow High School.

After graduating from high school, Gloria moved back to Phoenix were she attended Lamson Jr. College and attained her degree in travel and tourism. She was hired by Club Med and spent time at a resort in Mexico.

In 1994, she came back to Winslow where she met the love of her life, Patrick Ruiz, and they married in 1997. When they were married they lived in Holbrook, Arizona, until they moved to Prescott Valley in 1998.

Gloria and Pat had their first child, Hayden Ruiz, in 2000, and then Alec Ruiz was born in 2004.

Gloria was taken into the Lord’s arms on Oct. 6, 2016, in Prescott Valley, Arizona.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Patrick Ruiz; sons, Hayden and Alec Ruiz; father and mother, Ramon and Faye Dorame; siblings, Sharon Laborin and Ramon Dorame; grandmother, Lola Duran; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends who loved her very much.

Gloria loved adventure, travel, concerts, loved spending time with family and friends and she was a caring, compassionate and loyal friend to all.
