“The family of Paul E Meador announces, with great sadness, that an important part of their lives passed away on October 15, 2016. He went peacefully with caring people by his side. A special thank you goes out to the entire staff at Mountain Nursing Home.

Paul loved Camp Verde Arizona & was a resident here for the past 27 years of his life. He was born in Dyersburg Tennessee on July 12, 1934 and grew up in Nashville, until the age of 17 when he moved away & joined the US Navy. After his honorable separation from the military, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona & enjoyed a 30-year career in telecommunications at Bell Telephone Company which is now known as AT&T.

Paul’s love of the Verde Valley began with his wife of 43 years, Billie Jean Beck Meador, during frequent visits to her parents, the former John & Vivian Beck, who were longtime residents. Upon retirement, there was no question, they built a home & moved to Camp Verde!

Paul & Billie Jean have a loving family that includes 4 children; Debbie Shelton, Paul Meador, Jr, Lisa Martinez & Mitch Imler; all residing in the Phoenix Valley area. They also have 9 grandchildren & 16 great-grandchildren.

We all live on with the happy memories from the legacy of such a wonderful & precious man. Paul will always be remembered by his incredibly sharp & quick wit, his love for family, his charming personality & his good looks. (He would be very happy we mentioned that!).

An open house is planned for Saturday, October 29th at his home between noon & 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
