SIMPSON, Robert Monroe "Bob", Sr.

Robert Monroe "Bob" Simpson Sr., 78, of Casa Grande died April 26, 2009 at home.

A celebration of life will be held privately by the family.

Mr. Simpson was born July 6, 1930 in Binghamton, N.Y., and was a son of Richard and Mabel Simpson. He was a Boy Scout leader in Arizona City and loved children, animals and the outdoors. He worked in maintenance and retired from R.R. Donnelley Printing Company in 1997 and from Palm Harbor Homes in 2004 due to health reasons. He was a military veteran of 17 years and served in four branches.

He was devoted to his family and loved Arizona. He lived in Casa Grande for 24 years. He wished to be cremated so those who knew him would remember him in better years.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann (Travis) Simpson; three sons; a daughter; a brother; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Ralph B. Simpson.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pinal County Animal Care and Control. Simes Mortuaries Casa Grande Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
