SHARP, Phyllis MacGuffin

Phyllis MacGuffin Sharp, born Dec. 6, 1924, went to her Lord and Savior on April 30, 2009. She passed away after many years of fighting Alzheimer’s.

Phyllis moved to Fountain Hills from Bradenton, Fla. to be with her daughter, Sally MacGuffin Ozga (Bill).

Phyllis is preceded in death by Sally’s father, John D. MacGuffin, Phyllis’ brother, Herbert Naegele; her parents, Dewey and Grace Naegele; and Robert Sharp, her husband of almost 25 years.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Sally Ozga (Bill) of Fountain Hills; son, John D. MacGuffin Jr. of Missoula, Mont.; and son, Michael H. MacGuffin (Lisa) of Castle Rock, Colo., and step-son, Kenneth Sharp of Richardson, Texas. She had grandchildren, Jill Ozga Stoops (Daniel), Susan Ozga Perusich (Donald), Camilla MacGuffin Buchta (Ben), Brittany MacGuffin Hickman (Scott), Preston MacGuffin and Austin Pichford.

She was blessed to be a great-grandma also. Those blessings are Charter and Josephine Perusich, Ted and Erin Stoops and Ellianna Buchta.

Phyllis will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She spent her last four years here in Fountain Hills in a wonderful group home owned by Anuca Komerdelj who cared for Phyllis as she passed.

Donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014, phone 602-530-6900, or Alzheimer’s Association.

A family memorial will be at grave side in Libertyville, Ill. in late summer where she will be buried next to John D. MacGuffin.
