Irene Elaine (Johnson) Hinshaw

Irene Elaine Hinshaw, 90, of Prescott, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Oct. 20, 2016. She was born October 12, 1926 in Spokane, Washington to Orville & Lydia (Miller) Johnson.

She graduated from Newport High School in Newport Washington in 1944.

Irene was a loving Wife, Mother, homemaker and accomplished Ice and Roller Skater. Worked for many years in Greyhound Racing alongside her husband.

Some of her favorite experiences were traveling to Japan and China where she enjoyed the culture of the orient.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Gary; and sister Nancy.

Irene is survived by her husband of 71 years, Dr. Elbert Ray Hinshaw DVM; sons Rex T. Hinshaw and Zachary Ray Hinshaw; and daughter Kathrine Elizabeth David; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grand children; and one great great grandchild. She is also survived by brothers Terry and Randy Johnson.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016 at the Rowle Simmons Adult Center 1280 Rosser Street, Prescott, Arizona from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
